I have a team/sitefights banner or link?

Yes.
Simple as that :) The reason is because voters have no idea where
to go vote for you. Some don't even know what the site fights are,
much less what team you are on. We have a bunch of teams, would you
really want to search through all those just to find a friends site?
I didn't think so. So, if you don't have one.. you are in turn hurting
yourself in addition to hurting our team. We would love for others
to comes see our magical land.. but how can they if they have no path to
follow?

If you do not
have a banner or link and we have contacted you about it and you still
do not put one up.. then you will be whisked away from the competition.

Can I make my own banners?

Yes, you are more than welcome to make
your own banners to link back to the voting url.

If you would like for me to add it to
our banners page,
then feel free to send it to me so I can take a look at it. If I
like it, then I will add it with a link to your site. Remember, when
creating them to send to me, consider how long it loads and the size of
it. I may end up resizing it if it's too large.

Can

Yes, I am a picky
about what banners I place on my site also, so I understand if you just
want text links. Just please make sure they are visible or you will
be losing points. What's the point of competing if no one can find
where to vote for you at?

Yikes, well if
you do not know how to add additional graphics on your page.. you may just
use text links to the urls.

I
was contacted about not having the banners, how long do I have
to fix it before I am disqualified?

I will allow enough
time to fix it. Usually two days is what I ask.. and definately
by the next Monday before you are inserted into a new roster. If you are
having some kind of problems with your server, pages, etc... then you must
contact
me to let me know.

If you told me
the first week you would fix them and then you did not, I will not give
you the full two days the next time you are contacted. I will probably
give you one day or you could possibly be DQ'ed right then.

I'm sorry, but
to me.. if you do not contact me or do not put in any effort to place a
link or banner on your site, than it appears that you are not really interested
in competing.

Q: What
are the rules of Voting?
-
To vote for a fighter, go to each realm's
area and scroll down to the bottom where there is a menu to vote.
Enter your email address and then choose you would want to support, and
then hit "Cast your magic".

You *can* vote for yourself, and I would
strongly urge you to. But only once a day like any other fighter.
-
You can only vote once a day for each
fighter, *per isp*. You can and most do, vote for every person on the team.
However, this doesn't mean if you have 30 email addresses from yahoo and
hotmail etc that you can vote 30 times for a fighter. An isp means
your internet service provider. So once you connect online, you are
given an ip, you can vote. If you have two different isp's, you can
vote using both.

If you do vote twice for a fighter,
even yourself, it is automatically thrown out by our automated system which
was created by our fabulous Graeme.

Q: Can you tell me how many votes that I actually received?

NO.
Never! Not even when you aren't fighting for our team anymore.
That is why we have the 1-10 point scale, so it is fair for everyone the
site fights. Please don't even bother to ask me for this is beyond
even my magical powers.

Help! What are some suggestions to get more votes?

Vote for yourself
-
You know you will be getting at least one vote :) You never know
that one vote can push you over the other fighter's total.

Spirit
- Spirit in the Site fights is the key :) I offer bonus points for
cheers and awards that you can receive.

Sign, Sign,
Sign - sign other fighter's guestbooks, ask them to support you and
you can support them by voting.

Vote Exchange
- Visit
it. It's a great place... you exchange votes with other fighters
in the site fights. In the whole site fights not just on our team.
Pretty good huh?

Tell People
- Don't rely on people visiting your site to know you are in the Site fights.
Tell them, send them the url to vote in email reminders, ask them to support
you so you can make it to the Dome.

Q:
How are scores tabulated each day?
-
This is the most asked question that
I receive weekly. And it's a geniune concern. In the
West rings, you have to get a certain amount of votes for that day to Q. It
is not dependant on how many votes anyone else gets in that realm whether
you move on or not.
-
In the upper rings, fighters are scored
on a 1-10 scale. I count the votes and then add any bonus points
to the scores (for example cheers) to the amount of votes each fighter
received. Then I figure them out from highest to lowest. Highest
gets a ten, runner up get a 9, next one a 8 etc etc. One thing is though,
just because someone received a 10, doesn't mean they received a 100 votes.
For example... if John gets 2 votes and everyone else in the realm got
only 1, then John scores a 10 while everyone else receives a 9. It
just means that person got more votes than anyone else in that realm.

If you cheer in the Shout
it Out, I will add extra votes on the amount of cheers you make (max
is 5 a day) to the total amount that you received by supporters. So if
you make one cheer, you get 1 extra vote... 2 cheers = 2 extra votes and
so on. So Spirit can make a difference in our land.

When
are the scores posted every day?

Actually it depends.
If I am up at the time the voting ends, then most of the time I do go ahead
and tabulate the scores. But I do have to be at work in real life
early in the morning so that isn't very often. So I try to post them
before I leave every morning which is before 7 a.m. central time.
On Saturday's the time may be a little later. If they are not posted at
this time, what probably happened is that I was so exhausted from playing
in the legend's land that I overslept and didn't have time to get them
up. They will be posted as soon as I get home later in the day.

I am sorry that
I can't pick one time every day and guarentee when they will be posted.
But as much as I love my team, I do have to earn a living so I can spend
my free time on the computer.

Please do not
ask me to do it any earlier.. an enchantress needs her beauty sleep :o)
Any requests for me to do so, will have you thrown in the dungeon.

Q: How
can I receive bonus points?
-
Cheering in the Shout
it out. You can
receive up to 5 extra votes a day by cheering. I will add on the
equal amount of extra votes to the amount of cheers (max of 5 per day).
They must also be *real* cheers. I will not give credit for cheers
that are one liners, pleas for votes or anything inapproiate.
1 cheer = 1 extra vote, 2 cheers = 2 extra votes
3 cheers = 3 extra votes, etc up to 5 bonus votes.

Spirit Page Award. You
can receive an award for making creative spirit pages. Make sure
they are easy to get to from the front page so my fairies will happen to
stumble upon them. If you win the award, you *must* let me know the day
you get it with the url where you placed it so I can give credit for that
day. You will receive an automatic Q or 10 for th day.

Team Spirit Award. If our
team is honored by receiving the weekly team spirit award, everyone, ...
yes everyone ... will earn a Q or a 10 for that day. (This does *not*
count in the Warzone or Dome, sorry). How do we win this? By
cheering and cheering!!

Spirit Award or Dloudest Cheer Award.
Either will earn you a Q or a 10 for that day. But again you must
notify me when you receive it. Although some call me the enchantress
of this land, I am not a mind reader :)

How
can I be making such low scores?
-
Well sometimes
the main reason for low scores is the fact that you didn't actually go
out and get votes. Just posting a banner on your site doesn't always
draw enough attention. The best thing to do is read this section.

Also, are you
showing your spirit? Spirit can make a total difference in scores
sometimes. Even if you don't get the highest with just bonus
points from spirit, you can still qualify to stay in that realm for
another week.

I
didn't get credit for my cheer, why?
-
I do not give
credit for cheers that are one liners (Gooo Legends or something to that
effect) or anything that is inappropriate. If none of the above applied
to your cheer, then email me
and I will see why your cheer disappeared..

The reason for
the above? I know anyone who is a legends at heart, has a ton of
creativity. I really want to see this in my fighters.

What is spamming?
Can I spam?
-
Spamming is emailing someone when they
ask you to stop, or blind emailing etc etc. If someone requests that
you take them off your vote reminder email list, and you do not do it.
You are spamming them.
-
Can you spam? NO! Under
no circumstances must you ever spam. I will remove you from the competition
because it is against site fights rules and probably will change you into
an ugly gnome in addition to that! Got it?

How can I get more involved?

Oh that does warm this heart to hear
that you are interested in participating more :o) I would recommend read
the bonus section which could give you hints on more
involvement on scores and votes.

But you may also become a fairy or wee
one for our team. We can never have too many. If you are interested
visit the sign
up page. Wee ones are for younger individuals, and fairy for 18+.

If you would like to become a staff
member, I would recommend being a fairy or wee one first. I usually
offer my team staff first dibs on positions because I can see who is loyal
and dependable. I rely on my assistants greatly, so I must have individuals
who are reliable or this team could fall apart :( I can only do so
much myself, you know.

Is it okay to email you

Absolutely, you may email me.
I may be the enchantress over this entire land, but that is what I am here
for. If I take a couple of days to reply, please don't worry that
forgot about you. Most of the time I receive over 150+ emails a day
and my fingers tend to fall off from replying to them all. But I do try
to give my fighters first priority. Please do not write me angry
that I didn't reply fast enough, I may end up locking you in the dungeon
with the ones that order me to post the scores sooner :o)

Q: The
week is over, where do I go now?
-
In the West1 Ring: If you received
4 hats for the total week and you also have all required links and banners
up then you move up to the Stage. You will need to change your voting
link to: http://thesitefights.com/legends/stage/stage.html by Monday morning.

In the West2 Ring: If you received
4 hats for the total week then you move up to the Screen. You
will need to change your voting link to: http://thesitefights.com/legends/screen/screen.html
by Monday morning. If you received 2 crystals, then you may
stay in West2 to try again.

In the Stage & Screen: The fighter with
the highest score for each path, moves up to the Fianna Dán. You must
change your voting url to http://thesitefights.com/legends/fianna/ by Monday
morning. The lowest two scores in each path go back to the West2, all
others stay to try again.

In the Fianna Dán: The fighter with
the highest score receives the honor to fight in the Warzone. You
must change your voting url on your banner to http://thesitefights.com/warzone/
by Monday morning. The 1st and 2nd runner-ups stay to try again.
All others will return to the Screen.

In the Warzone/Dome: If you win,
you move up to the Dome or if already in the dome, you will defend your
title for 3 weeks :) If you don't, you are welcome to re-enter the
team anytime you would like, just email me to let me know. I will
place in the screen's realm.

I weighed in but I never
heard from you DErin, why?

One reason may be that you were disapproved
for competition by the DPatrol. It was stated when you signed up
that they do not contact those that didn't get approved and that is because
there are SO many applicants to the teams that would take a virtual army
to keep up with the emails.

your info. I may be a magical being but I am one to make mistakes

Who are the fairies and
why are they dusting my guestbook?
-
Ahh so you have been visited by our
wee ones and fairies? Well my dears they are there to help fill you
with spirit. They leave enchanting gifts and rhymes in your guestbook
to show that we as a team are behind you. They in turn send reports
to me and Lady GlitterDreams about how you are doing, if you have a spirit page
and if you have banners in place.

If you feel that their dusting is just
overcrowding your guestbook and do not enjoy it, I suggest you create another
one with a detour just for the fairies and wees. Or just email
me or Lady Waterlily and we
will let them know. :o(
