While lost in the forest,
Sitting on a rock in the lagoon,
I spotted an odd creature in the lake.
With curiosity,
A human's terrible curse,
I slipped off the rock and headed towards the creature.
As I neared this creature,
The figure unfolded before my eyes
It was a slender mermaid swimming gleefully in the lake.
She was smiling at me
With her silver hair blowing gently in the wind.
She swam closer to me,
And began singing.
Listening to this soulful song,
I realized what the mermaid's song meant.
It was directions to get to Lancelot's castle,
And how to avoid the dark side of the forest.
I bowed with thanks
And took off into the forest.
Right then and there,
I became one with the forest.

I'm just now shouting if you please
Got home from work and the baby sneezed
after medicine, nose wipes and a fever check
some Tylenol and a rag on the neck
She is now tucked in bed
and I am morning now to dread But nothing will keep me from
my shouts not crying baby or husband pout
For my team I owe so much indeed
my shouts and cheers they surely need

Twas dnight before voting and all through dland
all dcreatures were tweeking
dhatter....dman.
Dpages all hung on their servers with care
in hopes that a surfer would soon visit there.
All dfighters were nestled
all snug in their seats
some dreamed of awards
for their magical feats.
and Momagain with her cross stitch
and I ... it's me Kat
had just left ICQ and a long fighters chat
When from my computer there arose such a clatter
'You've got mail' it said
Oh! Now what's the matter?
So away to my inbox I flew in a dash
clicked open my Outlook
which booted up in a flash
The spam coming in was making it slow,
'Darn's' what I said, 'Wouldn't you know.'
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a letter from the lady...
She's such a dear.
Up to her letter my curser it flew
It was packed full of news and an attachment or two.
Dear Kat, it said, good luck in your bout,
and remember that spirit's what the fights are about.
How nice I thought as I began to shut down
to be part of The Forest, where friendships abound!

As I turned to the mermaid's lagoon,
My spirit soared above me,
And called out to me.
