Welcome to Foresters of Light
What's
this you ask? Well do come in and let
me tell you about the
Foresters of Light. Well - sometimes
in a Forest, the path can grow
quite dim - so doth evolve the Foresters
of Light. Join us and pledge
to never vote for those areas that you
have not seen.... light the path
so that you may never vote blind.
Blind Voting is
when you vote for a site that you've
never seen.
Now - you can rest assured that if someone
dusts your guestbook
and asks you to VE - they have seen
your book so they've taken
the time to know before they asked if
your site is one they wish to
support - usually these requests include
an invitation to their site so
that you can decide if you are willing
to support their site as well.
Many times blind voters are out to gain
votes for themselves and
do not faithfully vote each day. Why's
that? you ask.... well - Blind
voting is not spirited at all - and
it's pretty selfish if they're leading
you to believe that they're voting for
you and all the while just out to
gain a vote for themselves never to
return one. Since we're in TSF
and The Forest not ONLY to compete but
mostly to make new
friends - Blind Voting is not a kewl
way to do that.
It's hard to stop others. But since
we're only responsible for
ourselves - that's probably a terrific
place to start!! SO you CAN
promise to never blind vote - you CAN
assure your supporters and
those you support that you NEVER Blind
Vote - and you CAN
become a Forester of Light to show all
that you support lighting the
path and spirited fair play. ;-)
Tips to Guard against Blind Voting....
Visit Pages to see what they have to
offer and decide
if you can support their content. If
your answer is yes - then
either dust the guestbook requesting
a visit to your site to see
if this person would like to make that
same committment with
you about never blind voting - OR email
the webmaster and
make the same request. It's always ok
to say no if you don't feel
like a site is one that you are comfortable
supporting.
So
are you ready to make that promise?
